GET OUTSIDE WITH PACK 39!
GET TO KNOW US
Cub Scout Pack 39 is chartered by Greens Farms Congregational Church and invites boys and girls in Kindergarten to 5th grade to join our fun monthly activities and various events we sponsor during each school year.
While many of our scouts attend Long Lots Elementary School, Greens Farms School & Saugatuck Elementary, all K-5 Westport residents are welcome! Our activities are always age appropriate and family friendly - from hiking, fishing and camping to exploring and serving our community. Our famous pinewood derby allows scouts to take pride in building and racing a car of their their own creation and our annual Blue and Gold Banquet celebrates the accomplishments of each of our scouts while creating a formal, celebratory send off for our oldest cub scouts into the boy scout ranks to continue their scouting journey.
A picture is worth a thousand words! Please check our our Pack 39 Facebook Page for recent photos of Pack 39 events and see our scouts and leaders in action!
Please "like" us while you're there, and consider "sharing" our exciting activities with friends and family!
JOIN A DEN!
Each cub scout is assigned to a den, based on their school grade and gender. These groups, usually 6-8 cub scouts, are where Cub Scouting starts. In their den, Cub Scouts develop new skills and interests, they practice sportsmanship and good citizenship, and they learn to do their best, not just for themselves, but for the den and the greater pack and community as well.
GET BUSY WITH THE PACK!
Pack 39 enjoys exploring! All Dens in the pack come together at least once each month for an activity or trip, including a fall bonfire at Wakeman Town Farm, two annual camping trips, a fishing derby, pack hikes, an end of year beach picnic celebration, an evening of ice skating and hot chocolate, skiing, a trip to West Point for football and/or lacrosse, a pizza/ swimming party, our pinewood derby, the Blue and Gold Banquet and more!
TRY NEW THINGS!
Scouting provides an opportunity to learn about how our world and communities work, with an emphasis on building the individual knowledge, social awareness and life skills our students need to be self-confident leaders, kind and compassionate members of their communities, personally responsible team members and contributing citizens.
